I never heard anyone complain about copier firmware. There is no point of having the older version as the new one is better and improved. A lot of technicians in the field report back what issues they were having and all of this is than reflected in a new firmware version. (this is the way I see it - not necessarily Canon way) :Įach new version comes up with modifications and improvements for a certain device. To answer your question about absence of earlier versions of firmware You came to this forum for advice I presume. In the end all I did was "warn you of what it might happen if you cheat the printer" I don't see why you took my advice in a negative way. I am not part of the Canon group, so I am not defending the flag or smth. I see this thread is getting a strange deviance. If the printer will overheat, its happened, before that printhead were ALREADY DEAD !!! so can you imagine the DEAD PERSON who are able to wake up and live with us ? even if it will be a month a few or who know it could be much more even a years !!!!! YEEEEEsĬANON customer who are NOT AGREE with CANON IDEA and SOLUTION which are NOT IN LINE WITH LAW !!!!!!!!!! Only the solution I've done is working, I mean wakeing the printer to live, at the moment I do know how long I will be able to using this printhead or printer, but as ive promised you'll be informed weekly basis.

If you has the same problem, if you trying first cleaning printhead, do it only ones, as the more is lost the time if not helped. Please stop your comments as your posts were useless im afraid from beginning !!! I spend a lot of time for cleaning printhead, spend a lot of ink, use mostly maintenatce Cartidge - nothing helps !!!

What you did is cheat the printer to think that all the nozzles are firing correctly and the print-head is fine.ĭo you think Canon invented this protective measure just to get more money out of their customers ?ĭid you ever think of what will happen to the main board if the nozzles of the head are blocked and everything get overheated ?
